Peppermint Hot Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
    3 cups flour
    2 cups sugar
    2/3 cup of cocoa
    1/2 cup chocolate chips
    1/2 tsp salt
    2 tsp baking soda
    2 sticks of melted butter
    2 cups of water
    2 Tbsp white vinegar
    2 tsp vanilla
    1/2 tsp peppermint oil/flavoring (optional)
Directions
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
    Mix all dry ingredients together.
    Mix all wet ingredients together.
    Combine wet and dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
    Pour mixture into two 8" round pans or one Bundt pan.
    Bake for 35 minutes for two 8" pans or around 45 minutes for Bundt pan.

Peppermint Frosting
Ingredients
    1 (7-oz) jar marshmallow crème
    1 (8-oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
    1/4 tsp. peppermint extract
Directions
    Beat marshmallow crème, whipped topping, and peppermint extract on high speed with an electric mixer 1 to 2 minutes or until glossy, stiff peaks form.
